Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Renew mobile application ("the App") operated by RenewPro ("we", "our", "us"), a sole trader registered in Australia.
By downloading, installing, or using Renew, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Description of Service
Renew is a skincare tracking application that allows you to:
- Track your skincare products
- Create and manage daily routines
- Build consistency through streaks and reminders
- View UV index information for your location
- Track your skin journey with photo journals
- Use AI to quickly add products from URLs or photos
Renew is a tracking and organisational tool only. We do not provide medical advice, diagnose skin conditions, or recommend treatments.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Renew.
If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App.
By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Your Account
Account Creation
To use Renew, you must create an account using a valid email address. You agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
- Not share your account with others
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Use the App for illegal purposes
- Abuse, harass, or harm other users
- Attempt to compromise the App's security
Subscriptions & Payments
Free and Pro Tiers
Renew offers:
- Free tier — Limited features at no cost
- Pro tier — Full features via paid subscription
Subscription Terms
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Apple App Store or Google Play
- Payment is charged to your App Store or Play Store account
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your device settings
Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) according to their respective refund policies:
We do not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds outside of these platforms.
Price Changes
We may change subscription prices with reasonable notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App
- Circumvent security features or access controls
- Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Use the App to spam or harass others
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.
User Content
Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you upload to Renew, including:
- Product photos
- Profile photos
- Skin journal photos
- Product names and notes
- Routine configurations
By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store, display, and process that content solely to provide the App's services. We will not use your content for other purposes without your consent.
Skin Journal Photos
The skin journal feature allows you to photograph your skin to track changes over time. By using this feature:
- You consent to storing these photos according to your subscription tier (local only for Free, local + cloud for Pro)
- You understand these photos are private and only visible to you
- You acknowledge that Renew does not analyse, diagnose, or provide feedback on your skin
- You can delete any journal photo at any time
Important: Skin journal photos are never sent to AI services or shared with third parties.
AI-Powered Features
Renew uses artificial intelligence to help you add products:
Ingredient extraction from URLs: When you paste a product URL, our AI may analyse the webpage to extract product name, brand, and ingredients.
Product photo analysis: When you photograph a product (not your skin), our AI may identify the product and extract details.
By using these features, you agree that:
- Product URLs you submit may be fetched and processed by AI
- Product photos you take may be processed by AI
- AI-extracted information should be reviewed for accuracy before saving
- We use Google Gemini API for processing
What AI does NOT do:
- Analyse your skin or face photos
- Diagnose skin conditions
- Recommend products or treatments
- Store or learn from your personal data
Photo Storage by Subscription

| Free | Photos are stored locally on your device only. Renew does not upload, access, or store your photos on any server. |
| Pro | Photos are stored locally on your device AND uploaded to secure cloud storage to enable sync across your devices. |
When you upgrade to Pro: Your existing local photos will be automatically uploaded to cloud storage to enable sync functionality.
When you downgrade to Free: Your cloud-stored photos will remain accessible for 30 days. After this period, cloud copies will be deleted. You should ensure any photos you wish to keep are saved to your device before downgrading.
Content Restrictions
You agree not to upload content that:
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
- Contains illegal material
- Is harmful, abusive, or harassing
- Contains malware or harmful code
We may remove content that violates these Terms without notice.
Content Backup
Free users: You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your photos and data. Since photos are stored only on your device, deleting the app or losing your device will result in loss of your photos.
Pro users: Your photos are backed up to cloud storage automatically. However, we still recommend maintaining your own backups for important content. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we do not guarantee against data loss.
Intellectual Property
Our Property
The App, including its design, features, code, graphics, and branding, is owned by RenewPro and protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our written permission.
Trademarks
"Renew", "RenewPro", and associated logos are trademarks of RenewPro. You may not use these without permission.
Feedback
If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the App, you grant us the right to use that feedback without compensation or attribution.
Third-Party Services
The App may integrate with third-party services:
- UV index data — Provided by third-party weather APIs
- Payment processing — Handled by Apple/Google
- Affiliate links — May direct you to third-party retailers
- AI processing — Google Gemini API for product extraction
We are not responsible for third-party services, their content, or their privacy practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.
AI Service Limitations
AI-powered features rely on Google Gemini API. We do not guarantee:
- Accuracy of AI-extracted product information
- Availability of AI features at all times
- That AI will correctly identify all products
Always review AI-extracted information before saving. Incorrect ingredients or product details are your responsibility to verify.
Disclaimers
No Medical Advice
Renew is not a medical application. We do not:
- Diagnose skin conditions
- Recommend treatments
- Provide medical advice
- Replace professional dermatological care
- Analyse your skin photos for medical purposes
The skin journal feature is for your personal tracking only. Changes you observe in your photos are not medical assessments. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns.
AI Limitations
AI-powered features are provided for convenience only. We do not guarantee:
- Accuracy of extracted product information
- Completeness of ingredient lists
- Correct identification of products from photos
- Availability of AI services
You are responsible for verifying AI-extracted information before relying on it.
"As Is" Service
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy or reliability of content
We do not guarantee the App will be:
- Uninterrupted or error-free
- Free of viruses or harmful components
- Compatible with all devices
UV Index Information
UV index data is provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee its accuracy. Always use appropriate sun protection regardless of UV readings.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- We are not liable for loss of profits, data, or goodwill
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or $50 AUD, whichever is greater
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations. In such cases, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.
Australian Consumer Law
If you are an Australian consumer, you have guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RenewPro from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Content you upload to the App
Changes to the App
We may at any time:
- Modify or discontinue features
- Update the App
- Change pricing (with notice)
- Discontinue the App entirely
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting a notice in the App
- Updating the "Last updated" date above
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated Terms, you should stop using the App.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
Dispute Resolution
Before taking legal action, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. Most concerns can be resolved quickly this way.
Jurisdiction
Any legal proceedings must be brought in the courts of Victoria, Australia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RenewPro regarding the App.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not waive that right.
Assignment
You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights without restriction.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
